INTRODUCTION
Our villas in Provence are typified by the traditional Provencal mas (meaning farmhouse). Peter Mayle’s A Year in Provence conjures images of such villas, full of authentic charm and tradition. Le Mas du Luberon, near to the village of Bonnieux, and Le Mas de Caseneuve are two fine examples of such classic Provençal villas, restored with impeccable taste as well as practicality.

Many of our Provence villas are located either within or just on the edge of some of the best known villages of the region: Le Mazet de Manon and Le Mas des Sources, for example, are located close to St Remy de Provence, the village once inhabited by Vincent Van Gogh; Lou Roucas is a fine townhouse located in the heart of Gordes, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops.
From impressive towns to sleepy villages, there is much to see if you can tear yourself away from your swimming pool. Aix-en-Provence, the capital of this region, is well worth a visit with its imposing fountains and therapeutic thermal baths. Also a must-see is Avignon - home to the majestic 14th-century Palace of the Popes and famous bridge. The villages of the Luberon and the Vaucluse, such as Bonnieux, Lacoste, Menerbes and Goult are delightful and L’Isle sur la Sorgue will delight lovers of art and antiques, with around 300 antiques dealers filling the pretty streets.
Of course a holiday in Provence would be incomplete without fine food and wine. Some of the finest vineyards in the world are located within this region and your villa Host or representative will be happy to point you in the right direction to try wine tasting, perhaps at one of the Chateauneuf du Pape vineyards for instance.
All of our family villas in Provence have swimming pools in which to cool during the summer months. As is the legal requirement for all rental villas in France, our Provencal villas all have at least one swimming pool safety feature, such as pool alarm, cover or fence to ensure child safety. Do speak with one of our specialists to discuss villas suitable for families.

Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have:
Provence is considered a dry temperate region with an average 300 warm and sunny days a year and rain falling on a maximum of about 90. Average rainfall in spring and autumn is low. December and January are the wettest months. With temperatures about 28°C during the summer months those long hot summer days can last late into the evening. The warm and sunny spring and autumn have an average temperature of 24°C. The average temperature of the dry sunny mild winter months are around 14°C with February the coldest month at 12°C. Temperatures are slightly lower near the coast due to the sea breezes. During the summer months, this makes the high temperatures more bearable.
It is advisable to contact your doctor before you travel if you have any specific health concerns and take out appropriate travel and medical insurance.
