New for 2010, we have created a number of Gourmet Food and Wine Short Breaks in some of the most respected culinary regions in Europe. Choose from Andalucia, where fish and seafood prevail, Tuscany, with its hearty cuisine and full bodied wines, classic Bordeaux with its fine wine chateau or the Cote d'Azur where the 'King of the Truffe' resides.
Each break includes four nights at a luxury villa and may be taken during Low or Mid Season. You may, of course, extend your stay for a week, or combine with a touring vacation of Spain, France or Italy. See below for details of each break.
GOURMET SHORT BREAKS IN ANDALUCIA

Based at the delightful Villa Maroma in the heart of the Andalusian countryside, your break includes welcome tapas and wine tasting on arrival, welcome hamper with culinary treats and wine, a visit to the local food market at Malaga with your chef, a visit to a local bodega to sample the 'Malaga Dulce' and two cookery classes (a lunch and a six course dinner - the latter including wine matching). BRUNELLO WINE TRAIL AND TUSCAN CHEESE
Our Brunello Wine Trail and Tuscan Cheese Short Break is based at Il Glicine, a five bedroomed villa located on a hillside in southern Tuscany close to the village of Ponte d’Arbia. SAFFRON, HONEY AND WINE
Our Saffron, Honey and Wine Short Break is based at Villa Le Terme, located on a Tuscan hillside with panoramic views of cypress-fringed scenery. As well as taking in some of the best local towns our guide and chef will introduce you to the flavours of Tuscan saffron, honey and the local Vernaccia wine as well as a hearty regional dinner. chianti Classico
Our Chianti Classico Short Break is based at Belvedere, which sits in the heart of a working wine estate. The five day break includes two of the finest Chianti wine estates: the Antinori estate at Badia a Passignano and Fonterutoli, with a Tuscan cookery class and dinner at the medieval abbey, a visit to the 'wine library', tutored tasting at the magnificent Fonterutoli estate, including lunch in the Osteria. VINES AND WINES OF BORDEAUX
Our Vines and Wines Short Break is based at the aptly named Maison du Vin, within walking distance of the UNESCO World Heritage Site village of St Emilion. Our short break combines culture, wine and food and includes a chef for the evening an educational wine class at the Ecole du Vin, a VIP invitation-only chateau visit, degustation and gastronomic lunch at one of St Emilion’s finest restaurants. PICNICS AND TRUFFLES IN THE COTE D'AZUR
Our Picnic and Truffles Gourmet Short Break is based at a Forestiere des Maures, which sits in a secluded valley in the beautiful hills of the Massif des Maures, close to St. Tropez. The holiday home is located on a fully fledged wine estate, with its vineyards and winery producing red ‘Côte de Provence A.O.C’ wine. Our short break combines food and wine with an appreciation of the countryside of the region. Privately arranged cookery classes can be organised for the beginner or the accomplished cook according to ability. Cookery classes also can be an excellent way of keeping children entertained for an afternoon. If you like the idea of the independence a holiday villa can offer but are daunted by cooking every night, then we can arrange for a private chef, or cook, to come to your villa.
