Kitzbühel | Bedrooms: 7 | Sleeps: 14

Rates: Rates available on request.

Kitzbuhel is emerging as a real contender at competing with the top resorts in the Alps, if not the world in providing some of the most luxurious accommodation combined with spectacular scenery. Not just loved by Austrians and Germans, this resort is becoming a firm favourite for those in search of 'under the radar' and understated supreme luxury but without the crowds and chaos other resorts suffer from during the peak weeks.

And the leader in the accommodation stakes has to be Chalet Comtesse. You simply cannot beat its location - a short stroll from the main lift station that takes you to the heart of Kitzbuhel's world famous Hahnenkamm slopes. And a very short walk to the pretty pedestranised centre with all her bars, restaurants and boutiques on your doorstep, this has to be one of our most exciting discoveries in the Alps. And turning our attentions to the actually chalet itself we are even more excited about what this has to offer for our guests. From the moment you pull up outside the property, you will be impressed. The grandeur of the property is immediately apparent and blends in perfectly with the exclusive feel of this resort. This chalet truly has everything. Be it the 7 bedrooms -all en suite or the warm, inviting open plan living room area on the top floor benefitting from the spectacular mountain views, you will be hard pushed to tear yourself away! Or be it the 15 metre swimming pool with sauna and steam room or the cosy snug mezzanine area overlooking the living room area, children and adults alike will be spoilt for choice. Or be it that you require ample parking space? Will 8 garage spaces, 2 in a carport and 4 more on the premise be enough? Whatever your requirements, we are positive that Chalet Comtesse will cater for everyone.

In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server EUR 50 for a EUR 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.

Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application.

The alpine climate is cold and visitors should wear warm, waterproof clothing at all times when outdoors during the winter. Hats and gloves are also essential to prevent frostbite. Sunglasses or ski goggles are also necessary to reduce the glare of the sun on the snow.

It is advisable to contact your doctor before you travel if you have any specific health concerns and imperative to take out appropriate travel and medical insurance. Winter sports involve a high degree of risk and you should be in good health and carry adequate medical insurance in case of winter sports accident, including cover for air ambulance.

    The finishing touches

Ever dreamt of driving through the Chianti hills in a red Ferrari, or along the Moyenne Corniche to Monaco in a Bentley? How about sailing along the Cote d'Azur to St Tropez in a private yacht or speed boat? Sometimes the home is all that you need, but if you're lured into culture, excitement, activity, improving your cooking or simply dabbling in landscapes, then speak to one of our Villa Specialists for an insight into what we can arrange. These are what we call our ‘Finishing Touches’.
