Kitzbühel  | Bedrooms: 5 | Sleeps: 10

Rates: Rates available on request.

One of the outstanding pearls of Kitzbuhel is Chalet Oxygène, situated in a desirable location not far from the Wagstaett lift station. This station is the shortcut right into the centre of the whole ski area. During peak weeks you will save at least 30 minutes compared to taking the main gondola out of Kitzbuhel centre. A more than welcomed compromise for the 10 minute drive that is takes from the chalet to the centre of Kitzbuhel.

Located in a quite area of Jochberg - a small village, on the outskirts of Kitzbuhel with a supermarket, church, and a great restaurant - and is perfect for keen skiers and families wanting to discover the 160 superb kilometres of slopes this area has to offer. For those looking for more than just skiing can take a short drive into Kitzbuhel for a busier evening out. Oxygène is for sure one of the finest freestanding chalets you can rent in the whole area. It sets the standard in many ways: its state of the art architecture. The combination of light, wood & glass and its intelligent layout create a wonderful warmth and sense of space. The interior & the design describe the passion and enthusiasm of the owners. Everywhere you find pieces of contemporary artwork which perfectly fits with classic designs of the furniture. This fusion of alpine spirit and with a splash of modernism truly makes this property unique. The unique nature of the property has not been just left to the design features. The amenities on offer in the property also offer the wow factor. The expansive sun terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy the afternoon sun & après ski aperitif after a full day on the slopes. Or enjoy a quick plunge in the beautiful indoor pool to ease aching muscles. Or simply sink into the sofas in front of a roaring fire in the sitting room, with a glass of wine and book in hand! This is alpine living at its best.

TIPPING SUGGESTIONS
In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server EUR 50 for a EUR 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE FORMALITIES
Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application.

NEAREST AIRPORT
The nearest airports to Kitzbuhel are:

  • Salzburg (75km)
  • Innsbruck (97km)
  • Munich (165km)

WEATHER
The alpine climate is cold and visitors should wear warm, waterproof clothing at all times when outdoors during the winter. Hats and gloves are also essential to prevent frostbite. Sunglasses or ski goggles are also necessary to reduce the glare of the sun on the snow.

HEALTH
It is advisable to contact your doctor before you travel if you have any specific health concerns and imperative to take out appropriate travel and medical insurance. Winter sports involve a high degree of risk and you should be in good health and carry adequate medical insurance in case of winter sports accident, including cover for air ambulance.

The finishing touches

Ever dreamt of driving through the Chianti hills in a red Ferrari, or along the Moyenne Corniche to Monaco in a Bentley? How about sailing along the Cote d'Azur to St Tropez in a private yacht or speed boat? Sometimes the home is all that you need, but if you're lured into culture, excitement, activity, improving your cooking or simply dabbling in landscapes, then speak to one of our Villa Specialists for an insight into what we can arrange. These are what we call our ‘Finishing Touches’.

The list is by no means exhaustive and we always welcome requests, however obscure you may think they are! Our local offices enable us to control the quality of the services on offer and the depth of knowledge our local teams have is impressive.
