St Christoph | Bedrooms: 5 | Sleeps: 11

Rates: from £14,398 per week

Every now and again you stumble across a real hidden gem in the world of luxury ski chalets, and Skyfall is one of them - the very embodiment of luxury and so exclusive it's the first chalet to be built in St Christoph for 50 years. This apartment - 004 - occupies a unique position at the top of the traditionally designed Skyfall building. Only the highest standards have been used when designing the fabulous interiors. Antique wood and beautiful stone are softened by sumptuous soft-furnishings and one-off pieces of furniture that give Skyfall its eclectic character.

The living room is an open and sociable space, perfect for lounging in with friends and family. There is ample space for everyone to kick back in comfort. Next to this, a dining room with a long, refectory-style table creates the perfect setting for enjoying food and fun, fuelled by excellent house wines and innovative menus created by your private chef. There's also a spacious eat-in kitchen for less formal meals and an impressive cinema room where you can lose yourselves in a film. Upstairs, beautiful bedrooms in muted shades with throws and cushions piled high on oh-so-comfortable beds are a welcome retreat at the end of a tough day's skiing and socialising. As you'd expect, bedrooms and bathrooms are all finished to five-star hotel standards, yet you can enjoy all the quiet and privacy that a private apartment has to offer. Top-notch service is one of the cornerstones at Skyfall. Your concierge and chef are on hand to ensure everything is exactly how you want it, from sourcing the perfect nanny to serving you the perfect cocktail. All you'll need to decide is whether you want that drink shaken or stirred.

In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server EUR 50 for a EUR 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.

Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application.

The alpine climate is cold and visitors should wear warm, waterproof clothing at all times when outdoors during the winter. Hats and gloves are also essential to prevent frostbite. Sunglasses or ski goggles are also necessary to reduce the glare of the sun on the snow.

The finishing touches

Ever dreamt of driving through the Chianti hills in a red Ferrari, or along the Moyenne Corniche to Monaco in a Bentley? How about sailing along the Cote d'Azur to St Tropez in a private yacht or speed boat? Sometimes the home is all that you need, but if you're lured into culture, excitement, activity, improving your cooking or simply dabbling in landscapes, then speak to one of our Villa Specialists for an insight into what we can arrange. These are what we call our ‘Finishing Touches’.

The list is by no means exhaustive and we always welcome requests, however obscure you may think they are! Our local offices enable us to control the quality of the services on offer and the depth of knowledge our local teams have is impressive. Our aim is to provide guests with the authentic sights, flavours and experiences of the region they are staying in.
