Meribel | Bedrooms: 4 | Sleeps: 8 + 2

Rates: Rates available on request.

Du Vallon is a lovely four bedroom chalet in the heart of the picturesque Meribel Village.  The chalet is newly re decorated, very spacious and enjoys stunning views across the valley.

Each of the four bedrooms has large, plush comfortable beds and all rooms have en suite bathrooms that are stocked with a range of Miller Harris bath products. Rooms can be made into either twins or doubles as requested. A couple of rooms have extra beds for children if needed. A Digital TV and DVD player can be found in a separate room, this is the perfect place for entertaining children or simply enjoying an after dinner movie. Resort amenities are few in Meribel Village, however a local boulangerie, bar and restaurant are within easy walking distance of the chalet. The high speed Golf chairlift is also very close by, this takes you up to the Altiport area of Meribel which is where you will find the main lifts that connect in to the massive 3 Valley ski area. A pretty tree lined blue run takes you back down towards the chalet, when snow conditions are good the more experienced skier can ski back to the chalet via an off piste route. For those that want to enjoy the varied nightlife on offer in the centre (5 minute drive away) there are many local taxis and a resort bus that runs until 1am.

TIPPING SUGGESTIONS
In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server EUR 50 for a EUR 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE FORMALITIES
Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application.

The alpine climate is cold and visitors should wear warm, waterproof clothing at all times when outdoors during the winter. Hats and gloves are also essential to prevent frostbite. Sunglasses or ski goggles are also necessary to reduce the glare of the sun on the snow.

HEALTH
It is advisable to contact your doctor before you travel if you have any specific health concerns and imperative to take out appropriate travel and medical insurance.
