Courchevel 1850 | Bedrooms: 7 | Sleeps: 14

Rates: Rates available on request.

Chalet le Petit Chateau was constructed over the summer of 2010 and is one of the most fantastic "ski in, ski out" chalets in the resort, found right on the edge of the Bellecote Piste. The chalet has one of the best locations, not just for skiing, but also for the shops as it′s only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Courchevel 1850 (or two minutes by car if you use the chalet′s driver).

It has a large open plan living space with high ceilings, deep comfortable sofas and and the owner clearly has a keen eye for interior design. The living space is large and spacious for all the guests to enjoy the views and open fireplace but it still retains a warm and cosy feel.

The Chateau has 7 en suite bedrooms, sleeping 14 including two master bedroom suites. Each of the bedrooms have designer ensuite bathrooms, extremely comfortable beds and all the latest technology and creature comforts you would expect.

The private spa area includes an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and hamman and there′s a separate gym and a massage/therapy room.

Bowling alley - With the lanes that can be adapted for children it is something that all the family can enjoy. It is fairly small so booking is essential, but it is something to fill those evenings after a big day on the slopes

Hang gliding - If you fancy knowing how it feels to fly like a bird then hang gliding is certainly something you should try. Off you’d go with an experienced pilot seeing Courchevel from heights that many wouldn’t go to

Indoor ice-skating - Being able to ice skate out of the elements is something that not many resorts offer. One night a week there will also be karaoke on ice, so there is the ‘different’ après everyone always looks for

Snowmobiling - For motorsport fans across Courchevel you can spend a day following a private trail or you can set off in the evening along the pistes that have been reserved for you to test the bends of the ski area

Sledging - You can hurtle down the 2km track with its 300m difference in altitude and average incline of 15% it will certainly get your heart beating fast. If you are feeling extra adventurous you can use it in the evening when it is floodlit

Bars - From heavy après to quiet and chic there are lots of bars here in Courchevel to suit everyone’s needs

Cinema - There are two cinemas here, each of them showing English speaking films and they are great way of hiding indoors if the weather isn’t at its best

Shopping – boutiques - Not so surprisingly the shops here in Courchevel are of a particular high standard. With many small boutiques and also the high end designer shops too. It is a particularly busy town through the whole day and into the evening

Ice hockey matches - At the local indoor ice rink there are often Ice Hockey matches. Normally advertised in the local area and always makes for a great evening

In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server EUR 50 for a EUR 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.

Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application.
