This stunning, spacious penthouse apartment offers a welcoming and contemporary atmosphere. Adorned with Alpine touches and Tyrolean motifs, you are constantly reminded, every corner you turn, of the beautiful area that exists outside of the apartment’s walls. Natural wooden floors and furnishings are also used to capture the spirit of this mountain hideaway. As part of the luxurious Rosa Alpina Hotel, no effort has been spared in providing the ultimate home away from home. But with the rewards of 5 star spa facilities and dining opportunities on your very doorstep, you may find it very hard to actually return to your own home!

The apartment affords a large, open plan kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining table comfortably seats 6 guests. There is also a breakfast bar. On request, a Chef and waiter can be provided for private dinners, wine tasting and cooking classes in the comfort and privacy of the apartment.

Through the mahogany draped curtains you will find the cozy sitting room with corner snug. The centre piece of this room is the traditional alpine stube that heats the room during the winter evenings. This is the perfect room to relax with your family in front of the fire enjoying the stunning mountain views framed through the windows.

There are two bedrooms – one large master bedroom and another good sized double bedroom located under the eaves. There is also a mezzanine area in this double bedroom with room for a rollaway bed for an additional child.

There is another smaller single bedroom which can either be used for additional child or as nanny accommodation.

Italian and German are spoken in Northern Italy. Italian and German are widely spoken in all resorts in the Dolomites. In some areas you will even hear the traditional mother tongue, Ladin which has survived the test of time. Menus and information are generally translated into English as well.

The official currency is the Euro (€). Coins are available in 1 cent, 2 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent, 50, cent, €1 & €2 denominations. Notes are available in €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200, €500 denominations.

Travellers cheques are widely accepted for exchange or purchase in major cities, but in more rural areas, visit a bank to exchange them for Euros. Major credit cards are widely accepted here and ATM access is widespread. Exchange currency only at authorized outlets such as banks and hotels, and exchange only what you think you will spend in the country. Coins cannot be reconverted on departure. Save all receipts from any currency exchange transaction. You may be asked to produce them when you exit the country, and they are required if you intend to reconvert local currency.

In restaurants a service charge is built into menu prices. However, it's customary to round up amounts when paying the waiter or waitress if you're happy with the service. This means that you might hand the server EUR 50 for a EUR 47 meal. If you're paying by credit card, hand the server a cash tip of up to 5%. For Taxis as in restaurants, round up or add 5% when you're happy with the service. Tips to your chalet staff are entirely at your discretion.

Travel documents are your responsibility. In general you should have: a signed, valid passport that will remain valid for at least 6 months beyond the completion of your trip. Your passport must have enough blank pages (excluding amendment pages) available for entry and exit stamps issued when entering and exiting immigration points. Visas are required for certain nationalities and you are strongly advised to check your status allowing plenty of time for visa application. EU nationals are only required to hold a valid national ID card.

Switzerland's winter temperature range is -2 °C (28 °F) to 7 °C (45 °F), with the snow remaining in the Alps until around April. The alpine climate is cold and visitors should wear warm, waterproof clothing at all times when outdoors during the winter. Hats and gloves are also essential to prevent frostbite. Sunglasses or ski goggles are also necessary to reduce the glare of the sun on the snow.

It is advisable to contact your doctor before you travel if you have any specific health concerns and imperative to take out appropriate travel and medical insurance. Winter sports involve a high degree of risk and you should be in good health and carry adequate medical insurance in case of winter sports accident, including cover for air ambulance.

The finishing touches

Ever dreamt of driving through the Chianti hills in a red Ferrari, or along the Moyenne Corniche to Monaco in a Bentley? How about sailing along the Cote d'Azur to St Tropez in a private yacht or speed boat? Sometimes the home is all that you need, but if you're lured into culture, excitement, activity, improving your cooking or simply dabbling in landscapes, then speak to one of our Villa Specialists for an insight into what we can arrange. These are what we call our ‘Finishing Touches’.

The list is by no means exhaustive and we always welcome requests, however obscure you may think they are! Our local offices enable us to control the quality of the services on offer and the depth of knowledge our local teams have is impressive. Our aim is to provide guests with the authentic sights, flavours and experiences of the region they are staying in.

If you would prefer to discuss your specific requirements, whether it’s in relation to the property or about your stay in general, please do contact us using the Enquire page or please do give us a call for a chat.
