March - Olive Fair
St Lucie de TAllano plays host to the annual Olive Fair each March. This tiny mountain village welcomes guests to a host of festivities which celebrate the new pressing of the region’s delicious olive oil. Whilst here take time to visit the olive oil museum.
April - Festival of Dreams
Head to Porto Vecchio in April for a five day festival with a difference, the area comes alive with theatre performances which are weird and wonderful as they’re based on the theme of dreams – let your imagination run wild!
May - A Fiera di U Casgiu in Venaco
Venaco is the place to head in May if you like your cheese. This town hosts a local produce fair each year which celebrates rural cheeses and is a very tasty way to spend an afternoon. Knowledge of the fair has grown over recent years thanks to its feature on Rick Stein's Mediterranean Escapes.
June - Festival de Jazz in Calvi
A big event in the Jazz calendar, the Calvi Jazz Festival brings Calvi to life each June and, as well as impromptu jam sessions, tickets for concerts and main events can be purchased and feature some of the biggest names in Jazz.
July - Fiera di U Vinu in Luri
You’ve probably not tasted many wines from Corsica and if not, here’s the perfect place to start. The Fiera di U Vinu is held each July in the village of Luri and invites attendees to taste local Corsica wines all sourced and produced on the island.
July – Bastille Day
Anywhere in France lights up on the 14th July and the island of Corsica is no exception. Expect street parades, parties, fireworks and plenty of food and drink as you party away into the night with the locals.
July – Calvi on the Rocks
Despite its name this isn’t a local Corsica cocktail best enjoyed at sunset, Calvi on the Rocks is an electronic music and digital arts festival which takes place early in July with events held in the citadel each evening.
August - Foire de l’Amandier in Aregno
The Foire de l’Amandier is a foodie festival for all the family which takes place in the village of Aregno. It features cooking contests, events for kids and tastings and is all based in beautiful surroundings.
