Selva | Bedrooms: 6 | Sleeps: 12

Rates: from £7,830 per week

Perfectly positioned on the edge of the charming village of Selva at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana and adjacent to extensive almond groves, sits this luxurious 6-bedroom villa in the heart of authentic Mallorca. The spacious front terrace, with the distant village church as spectacular backdrop, is the ideal setting for families and friends to gather for al fresco meals and freshly pressed orange juice.

Dating back to 1738, the beautiful historic building offers the perfect balance between traditional Mallorquin architecture and modern luxurious interior. Initially two different properties, which over the years have been combined to one, Son Marisel is bursting with character with its thick stone walls, wooden beamed ceilings and an original bodega. At the same time it possesses all imaginable 21st century amenities, such as full air-conditioning, central heating, Jacuzzi bath tub, a 14x5m infinity swimming pool and much more. Son Marisel's grounds reach over 35,000m2, mainly filled with almond groves that are at their most beautiful in full bloom between January and February. During summer time you will most likely find yourself lounging by the pool on one of the comfy Balinese sunbeds while taking in the sweeping views over the village and distant Mallorcan countryside. Not many luxurious villas benefit from a walking distance to a village or town centre. As a guest of Son Marisel you can, however, enjoy a leisurely stroll to the pretty village square with its spectacular 13th-century church and with a small but good selection of restaurants and grocery shops. If you love sports, you might like having the nearest tennis courts in walking distance too.
