Manacor has a large variety of shops and restaurants and is the hometown of tennis star, Rafael Nadal. Also in Manacor is the island’s best-known pearl factory - Perlas Majorica.

Felanitx is an unpretentious market town best known for its locally produced wine, capers and ceramics.

Numerous waterfront cafes and seafood restaurants can be found along the coast, e.g. in Porto Colom (15-20 minutes). A more cosmopolitan atmosphere offers Cala d’Or, a cluster of small beach resorts further south (25-30 minutes).
