Snow, Snow and More Snow - Make the Most of the Fabulous Ski Conditions this Easter with Abercrombie & Kent
An early Easter and sensational snow throughout the season mean just one thing – head for the slopes for the best Easter skiing holiday ever.
Snow has fallen snow on snow...the 2012/2013 ski season has been fantastic. With Easter falling early at the end of March, families are in for a skiing bonanza with the longer, warmer days of spring combined with exceptional snow conditions and some great luxury chalet offers.
Val d’Isere – Chalet Elephant Blanc
Val d’Isere is a firm family favourite for good reason. High, mighty and with as much to do off the piste as on, it’s an ideal Easter interlude. Slopes that appeal to all ages and abilities, a free Easter egg hunt, dog sledding, skating on the natural ice rink, that fabulous Thursday night illuminated party in the centre and a host of other activities combine to make Val d’Isere one of the best. Make the most of it all at the divine ski in ski out Chalet Elephant Blanc.
Sleeping up to 10, this bright, light and airy chalet is perfect for two families and as an Easter treat includes complimentary return airport transfers for the week of 7th – 14th April. Fully hosted price: £2,250 per person, per week (based on 10 sharing).
Verbier – Chalet Trois Couronnes
Verbier is another jewel in the crown of ski resort royalty. Sophisticated, glamorous and almost unfairly blessed with spectacular skiing and equally spectacular off-piste entertainment, it is little short of ski heaven for all ages. Add to that a free Easter egg hunt with encouragement in the form of free aperitifs for parents and it’s hard to resist as a holiday prospect for that April break. At the top of the league is the beautiful and impeccably decorated Chalet Trois Couronnes, whose uber-generous owner is offering guests a heli-skiing trip for 3-4 people with a guide or 2 hours of a highly skilled masseuse per evening for the duration of their stay. Sublime. (Based on full occupancy of 14+2 guests fully catered.) For those who’d rather not travel on Easter Sunday, the fantastically located Chalet Gentianes is offering the irresistible prospect of extending a week on the slopes to a 10 night stay from 24th March until 3rd April for an additional £376pp for the 3 nights. Based on full occupancy of 12 guests, fully catered.
Meribel – Chalet Chopine
Over in the Trois Vallees, Meribel retains its magic for all generations. A brilliant launchpad for the higher slopes, it’s also the 2013 venue for the British Ski Championships (the junior events run until 6th April) – great fun to watch and a terrific inspiration for budding champs. Meribel is packed with activities off piste ranging from sledging and skidooing, animal themed runs for little ones, skating and swimming in the Olympic centre, ice parties for teenagers and plenty more. The delightful Chalet Chopine is an ideal base for the fun and games.
Sleeping up to 10 guests in all-out luxury it has the added attraction of a spa, home cinema and includes 6 days’ free childcare for the 7th – 14th April. Fully hosted price: £1,845 per person, per week (based on 10 sharing).
