New Provence Villas for 2013
Abercrombie & Kent Villas Responds to Demand and Expands Portfolio of Private Homes in Provence with the addition of Four Fabulous New Villas
Our clients’ love affair with Provence continues apace. Such is their passion and ever-increasing demand for exclusive private homes in the region that A&K Villas has expanded its collection to include over 30 stunning properties. With four new villas to complement the highly sought after favourites and with houses ranging from 3 to 11 bedrooms, there is now a great range and choice with something for everyone.
Bookings and enquiries for 2013 are running at unprecedented levels. No doubt the dismal British ‘summer’ of last year has encouraged early interest, so booking ahead to secure the ideal villa, especially for the peak summer weeks, is more important than ever.
Les Lilas Blancs – NEW TO THE MARKET
Brand new to the market and exclusive to A&K Villas, the gorgeous Les Lilas Blancs was, until recently, no more than an abandoned stone shell. Sleeping up to 14, it lies in a peaceful valley within the Luberon National Park. Surrounded by lavender fields and woods, it’s just 3km away from the picturesque little hilltop village of Saignon with its pretty church and narrow streets - not too far for the early morning croissant run!
Lovingly restored, it has been transformed into a stunning country house. Original fireplaces, exposed stone walls, flagstone floors and vaulted ceilings are intriguing features from the past, whilst the sleek ultramodern kitchen, fresh interiors of soft creams, traditional Provencal fabrics and immaculate linen render it one of the most luxurious villas in Provence.
Les Lilas Blancs sleeps up to 14 people and costs from £550 per person per week.
Other highlights in the A&K Villas Provence portfolio include:
Le Mas du Ventoux – NEW FOR 2013
Completely renovated last year, this stunning, secluded property has one of the finest vistas in Provence. Ideal for those after peace and privacy, it lies in the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail with uplifting 360° panoramic views over Mont Ventoux, the vineyards of the Rhone valley and the olive groves and pine forests beyond. The fabulous open-plan sitting room, dining area and gourmet kitchen open onto a huge terrace whilst an enormous pool with a summer kitchen just begs for al fresco entertaining. The décor is fresh and charming, the grounds are studded with hundreds of olive trees and lavender bushes and the level of comfort and attention to detail is faultless. In all, Le Mas du Ventoux is a superb retreat.
Le Mas du Ventoux sleeps up to 10 people and costs from £714 per person per week.
Le Mas de Gordes – NEW FOR 2013
Chic, sophisticated and very funky, Le Mas de Gordes is a brilliant synthesis of traditional Provencal architecture and contemporary style. Set above the picturesque village of Gordes, its huge open living spaces are suffused with light and awash with hip design features and impressive objets d’art. With sleek accommodation for up to 12 and a lower ground floor (with 2 en-suite bedrooms, games room, pool table and more) that can be made separate for teenagers or guests who prefer their own space, this spectacular villa has lovely gardens, fabulous views, multiple terraces and a 20m heated swimming pool with a summer kitchen. Just 15 minutes’ walk from the village, Le Mas de Gordes is a veritable tour de force. So cool is it, in fact, that there is even under floor cooling for the hot summer months.
Le Mas de Gordes sleeps up to 12 people and costs from £532 per person per week.
Le Mas de Roses
An established favourite in our collection, the gracious, spacious and very grown up 17th Century ‘Maison de Maitre’ lies within its own glorious parkland and olive groves. So photogenic are its elegant proportions, rose-clad walls, manicured topiary and immaculate lawns that it recently made the cover of Conde Nast Traveller. Sleeping 14 in exceptional comfort, it combines noble architecture with modern furnishings and a high-tech kitchen to die for. With wonderful living areas, extensive terraces, an orangery with a piano, a library, wine cellar and tasting room, a large heated saltwater pool and even an enchanting 14th Century consecrated chapel in the grounds, Le Mas de Roses is truly an aristocrat amongst villas.
Le Mas de Roses sleeps up to 14 people and costs from £457 per person per week.
La Maison de Maitre
Set in the highly sought-after village of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and within a stone’s throw of its famous market, antique dealers, restaurants and boutiques, this luxurious 18th Century town house is a delight and ideal for those who like their entertainment on the doorstep. One of our most popular properties, it is sumptuously decorated in styles ranging from the grand, panelled and antique-strewn drawing room to state-of-the-art modern bathrooms . This sumptuous home sleeps up to 10 guests in the lap of luxury right in the heart of the action. It offers all mod cons and a typically elegant garden ideal for entertaining or relaxation. A heated indoor/outdoor swimming pool is a perfect accompaniment to this exceptionally lovely house.
La Maison de Maitre sleeps up to 10 people and costs from £552 per person per week.
