About Villa Pontiki
A stunning coastline, olive trees and monasteries, Corfu is famous for its good looks. Hit television series The Durrells has sparked renewed interest in this Ionian island, and A&K’s guests are keen to explore Corfu’s luxurious holiday home options. One of our favourites is Villa Pontiki, located five kilometres south of Corfu town. It neighbours the royal villa of Mos Repos, in the forest of Palaeopolis, the Duke of Edinburgh’s birthplace.
An elegant standalone property set on different levels, Villa Pontiki can accommodate up to 18 guests making it an excellent choice for a large family or group of friends. The light and airy main villa is comprised of two master suites and four twin en-suite rooms. There is a two-bedroom guest house as well as a studio apartment at pool level that sleeps two. Both the guest house and studio apartment are available at an additional cost.
It is located on a four-hectare forested estate; it directly accesses a pebble beach, with a jetty and the sea beyond. The vast ‘Bella Vista’ terrace enjoys views towards Mouse Island, which was once Odysseus’ ship before being turned to rock by a wrathful Poseidon. There are three main gardens, a saltwater pool, an outdoor bar, gym, barbecue area and a full retinue of staff.
