About Corfu

When you land in Corfu, prepare to be struck by its huge swathes of green. Olive trees abound, as well as citrus, cypress, oak and elm. Against the backdrop of the clear blue sea, the verdant landscape brings a sense of awe to the large island.

Many visitors head straight to the party towns and hedonistic holidays in the south. For the more discerning traveller, Corfu is a Greek island to savour. Stay in the northeast corner and enjoy the area best loved by the Durrell family.

Corfu Old Town is a stunning example of European splendour. With boulevards, museums, monuments and a café culture rivalling Rome or Paris, a day in this UNESCO World Heritage Site will be well spent.

Head inland from the pebbly beaches and visit the highest peak on the island: Mount Pantokrator. Discover traditional mountain hamlets and Old Perithia – an abandoned medieval village where tavernas and boutiques have sprung up to accommodate visitors. For more history, head to Kassiopi, one of the larger towns in the region and one of the most developed.

Seek out the beaches of Barbati, Nissaki, Kaminaki, Krouzeri, Agni, Kouloura and Kalami for picture postcard seashore moments. These offer waterfront dining in characterful tavernas, as well as labyrinths of coves for exploration and swimming.

Corfu is the ideal villa holiday destination for anyone looking for luxury and authenticity. Take a look at some of our stunning villas and plan your next amazing escape.
