About Nella Estate
High up in the hills behind Mykonos’ airport, the boundless views of the Nella Estate reach far over the Aegean to take in 11 of the Cycladic islands. A property built for groups of family and friends, the layout resembles a small village with the beach-inspired swimming pool at its heart.
There is a main house and three guest houses, all built in the Cycladic style. Throughout traditional architecture flirts with contemporary island chic, with statement stone walls, a neutral-colour palette and cosy furnishings. There are five bedrooms in the main house and one each in the guest houses, all similar in space and amenities, many with individual access that gives that little extra privacy.
The outside space is delightful, the beautiful gardens featuring a 100-year-old olive grove, vineyard, vegetable garden and swaying palms. There is plenty of space around the pool for everyone to dine al fresco on something whipped up on the barbeque or in the professional kitchen, or to lounge with a favourite drink in hand and soak up the sun.
At the estate’s highest point is a little private church – it’s from here that you’ll find the most heavenly views, particularly at sunset.
