About Amalfi’s Old Chapel
Situated on the dramatic Amalfi coastline, the Old Chapel promises exquisite architecture and stunning views. This property dates back to the 18th century when it was a watchtower, before becoming a chapel that housed the local statue of the Madonna. Now a luxury villa, many of the original features remain, including an elaborately frescoed bedroom with a Madonna mural.
There are four double bedrooms, one of which can be adapted into a twin. Each is elegantly furnished and features an en-suite bathroom as well as stunning views. The attic room showcases the Amalfi coast through 13 portholes, creating a sublime panoramic effect. On the ground are the comfortable social spaces – a living room, guest bathroom and mezzanine kitchen. Other guest facilities include a lemon garden with views of the sea; a hot tub as well as an outdoor gym.
Located just two kilometres from Amalfi, this villa is ideal for exploring the city’s cathedral, the Roman villa and the Cloisters of Paradise. There are only 400 steps between you and the white sandy beaches (or a boat ride), and a short walk takes you to a local fish market, a bar and a pizzeria.
