About Palazzo del Fago
This 18th century country manor steps right out of the novel The Leopard by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa: impressive architecture, aristocratic flair, and an interior that has been restored to fully preserve the original structure and appearance.
The villa is strategically located on Sicily’s east coast just one kilometre from the sea, between Taormina and Catania, providing views on one side over Mount Etna and on the other to the Ionian sea.
On the first floor, the generous, well-proportioned space comprises three suites with double bedrooms and en suite bathrooms, two sitting rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen featuring an old wood-burning stove, dining room and a terrace with splendid views of Etna and the sea.
On the ground floor there are three further bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and direct access to the 5,000-square-metre garden, which contributes to the scenic landscapes visible from the house. The private swimming pool area, fitted with a wooden porch complete with barbecue and fridge, is the ideal venue for evening dinners and al fresco drinks and lunches.
