About Casa Abbentu
Casa Abbentu is a unique Sicilian retreat, perfect for couples or a small family.
Approaching the single-storey property from a tree-lined pathway, you’ll be struck first by the immaculate garden. Characterful trees dot a well-kept lawn, where there’s a shaded terrace for relaxing outdoors. The building’s peach-coloured exterior is understated, with few hints of what lies through the door.
Inside, discover anything but a typical Mediterranean villa. Sought-after designer Jacques Garcia has transformed this space into somewhere unabashedly opulent. The living room features frescoed walls, a baby grand piano and elaborate light fittings. Plump white seating with gilded frames, antique wooden tables and more lavish furnishings exude a stately grandeur. Relax with a book about Sicily drawn from the library – the living room’s crown jewel. Slide its central panel across to reveal the concealed kitchen, compact but fully functional.
Refurbished in 2018, Casa Abbentu lies seven kilometres from the city of Noto, a bastion of baroque architecture.
