About Villa Ossaia
Holiday in the backdrop of a movie set when you visit Villa Ossaia near the charming town of Cortona. This town featured in the film Under the Tuscan Sun, which was based on Frances Mayes’ book. With this setting and the glorious Tuscan landscape, a holiday will only ever be five-star.
The villa was built in the 17th century. The furnishings and decorations are eye-catching: precious tapestries, original chandeliers and accessories, painted ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors. Rooms are filled with antique furniture and the living areas are spacious – taking up the whole of the ground floor. The nine bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 18 people and can be configured to suit your group.
The gardens are perfect for large gatherings and families with children. The land is flat with no major drops, as well as completely enclosed. There is a large gazebo between the house and the private pool, creating the ideal space for alfresco dining. The surrounding land is owned by the villa’s proprietors and ablaze with sunflowers in the right season, as well as a vegetable garden and a small private chapel.
Feel like a star every day when you holiday at Villa Ossaia.
