About Villa Bouganville
Snow white against the vivid green of its Italian gardens, Villa Bouganville cuts an imposing figure. This is a grand place to stay, whether for a Tuscan wedding, a milestone celebration or a family escape to remember.
Despite being built in the 15th century, Villa Bouganville hides its age well thanks to an extensive renovation in 2018. Inside, you’ll find contemporary furnishings with eccentric flourishes. There’s an elevator allowing you to move between the three floors with ease, and each room is equipped with creature comforts including wifi, state-of-the-art air conditioning and satellite TVs.
The elegant bedrooms are spread across the second and third floor, whilst the ground floor is entirely designed with socialising in mind; there are two spacious living rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a sleek dining room and a wine tasting room. Beyond the main building, the 18th-century farmhouse annex offers more traditional Tuscan charm, and is available to book separately.
The 40-hectare grounds are just as impressive as the interior. Enjoy wandering along woodland paths, or down by the stream, or amidst the olive grove and vegetable garden. Then head up to the nearby hilltop, where the outdoor pool offers a scenic place to cool off. You’re also in a great location to discover the antique markets and Renaissance-era architecture of Lucca, just 11 kilometres away.
