About Torre Marina
There’s a lot more than a quantum of solace to be found in the contemporary comforts and dramatic sea views of Torre Marina. This unique Tuscan villa majestically overlooks the harbour of Talamone. Its stunning location has seen it serve as a locale in a James Bond movie and, many years ago, as a watchtower warning of Saracen invasions.
This ancient tower was built in the year 1000. It has seen a lot of history indeed and, recently, been converted into an exquisite villa. Torre Marina is beautifully furnished and exceeds the discerning traveller’s need for luxurious comfort. Every window has mosquito nets and the bedrooms have fans to keep things cool in the hottest summer months. The fully equipped kitchen is ideal for using that delicious fresh produce available from local markets.
The accommodation is arranged to offer maximum flexibility. Four bedrooms, three with en suite, are located in the main house, and two additional en suite bedrooms are in the guest house. The outside space is just as delightful. Sun loungers fringe the private pool and the manicured garden contains a veranda with a barbecue that offers al fresco dining as you soak up the views.
If you can tear yourself away from the villa there’s plenty to see and do on your doorstep. Close by you’ll find the restaurants and watersports of Talamone, the shops of Fonteblanda, boats to the Isle of Il Giglio and the Maremma National Park.
That’s an abundance of riches rather than a mere quantum of solace.
