About Campo Al Sole
Welcome to truffle country. And you’ll have to search hard to find a better villa here than Campo al Sole. Originally a farmhouse, a delightful restoration has graced this villa with an interior more reminiscent of a boutique hotel than a rustic retreat. You are ideally situated to go on a tour of the delightful hilltop towns of San Gimignano, Lucca and Volterra and, even though you are in Florence, Pisa and Siena’s golden triangle, this part of Tuscany is still largely undiscovered and unspoilt.
Campo al Sole has been sympathetically restored and modernised. Care has been taken to maintain and integrate such original features as its wooden beamed ceilings. The vast living room is perfect to relax in, and there are two dining rooms, one intimate and the other formal. The majority of the five double bedrooms have en suites, one is in a separate building, and there are two singles too. The kitchen leads out to the garden which makes al fresco dining a very real option.
In the garden an open terrace with a dining area and barbecue awaits. Beyond this a large area of lawn is dotted with mature olive trees and planted with flowerbeds bursting with colour. A heated 6x12m swimming pool with a flower-fringed sun terrace completes the idyllic Tuscan picture.
