About Pisa & Valdera

Located on the meandering waters of the River Arno, the lively city of Pisa has a surprisingly diverse haul of architectural treasures. Including Gothic churches and Romanesque buildings, it’s best known for its famous leaning tower. Be sure to climb to the top for unrivalled 360-degree views across the terracotta roofs of the ancient city below. Another highlight in Pisa is the grand Camposanto Monumentale cemetery. If you come here seeking quaint and crumbling headstones, we’re afraid you’ll have to look elsewhere! As the name suggests, this cemetery is truly monumental. Dominated by a vast arched and domed cloister in white stone, it serves a grand mausoleum in the heart of the city. Beyond Pisa, the verdant Tuscan countryside lies inland to the east. Sandwiched between Pisa and the coastline is the beautiful San Rossore Park. Rich with grassy coastal dunes, lush forestland and a broad range of birdlife, it’s hard to believe this idyllic spot is so close to the city. We can highly recommend it for a moment of quiet reflection. The broader Valdera region, in which Pisa lies, is characterised by the iconic rolling hills of Tuscany and a varied coastline including countless sandy beaches. All of our luxury villas in Pisa and Valdera are located in this peaceful area, offering some well-deserved relaxation, Tuscan-style.
