Discover Venice from the perspective of the water during your private canal cruise. Your journey takes you along the famous Grand Canal, where you can admire the many important palazzi and bridges, such as the Rialto and the Accademia, while your guide provides you with historical context to the various sights. During your cruise, stop to explore the fabulous Ca’ Rezzonico, a sumptuous Venetian palace designed by Baldassarre Longhena, offering a glimpse of life behind the scenes in 18th century Venice. Another magnificent palace visited during your tour is the 15th-century Ca’ d’Oro or ‘Golden House’, which houses a private collection of masterpieces, many of which were plundered from the region’s churches during Napoleon’s conquest of Italy. Step outside onto Ca’ d’Oro’s double-decker loggia (balconies) and admire the stunning views of the Grand Canal framed by the palace’s Gothic arcades.
Please note: Due to rigid Water Traffic regulations in Venice, private boats cannot pass under the Rialto Bridge and navigate along the most central section of the Grand Canal before 15:00. Up until this time your boat has to navigate around the inner canal system to bypass this section of the Grand Canal.
