About Catalonia

Ideally located in the unspoiled areas of this region, our luxury villas in Catalonia lie far from the crowds. Some, such as restored landhouse Can Cipres, provide mountain views and original features. Others like Mas Mateu near Girona come with enviable amenities like an infinity pool and a helipad.

Set between Barcelona and the French frontier, Catalonia offers golden sunsets, outstanding cuisine and fascinating towns and cities. You'll find plenty of beachside fun in the resorts of the Costa Dorada, while the quieter inland towns and villages provide space to roam. If you’re a history buff, check out Girona’s Greco-Roman ruins of Empuries, or head to the ancient town of Besalu, protected by its fortified Gothic bridge.

For wine lovers, there are some worthy local vintages. And when it comes to gastronomy, you are quite simply in one of the most exciting regions in Spain. This area is known for its notable chefs, so we recommend experiencing a restaurant or two.

This is the land of eccentric Salvador Dali, whose home in the Castle of Pubol is an extraordinary museum. A visit here, and a trip to the arty fishing village of Cadaqués, are both worthwhile excursions. Further afield, but still within day-trip distance, are the foothills of the Pyrenees. Many musical performances take place around here during summer, culminating in the prestigious Pedralbes festival. We can also arrange a host of activities, including golf, sailing or a relaxing day at the Arab Baths in Girona.
