About Villa 55
A Riviera-chic six-bedroom retreat on France’s Côte d'Azur, Villa 55 is named after the iconic beach club just five minutes away, where A-list stars and socialites stud the seafront. Luxury design and unbeatable location make this a rare find.
A Provençal exterior belies a carefully designed, contemporary space inside, where the owner’s singular style comes through in elegant interiors and a sense of fluidity between rooms. A wide-open ground floor brings a fully-equipped kitchen and living room together, where the long curves of the sofas echo the crescent of Pampelonne beach nearby and a twisting suspended staircase – custom-built by a specialist in Paris – evokes the columella of a seashell. The symmetry, stone-and-white colour palette, blonde wood and large windows bring a light, breezy quality anchored by ethereal Umut Yamac pendant lights and Steven Bukowski chairs.
All the six uncluttered bedrooms are ensuite, one with fabulous Italian marble from Valgi in the shower, another with its own tub; the beds, mattresses and pillows are the same used in a five-star hotel the owner frequented during Villa 55’s construction. A well-equipped gym, heated pool and sauna allows guests to work out and chill out in total privacy.
Location
The villa’s location is the best part. Villa 55 set on a private road, which is closed to traffic during peak summer hours and residents-only access. Its location is enviable – just a five minute walk from Pampelonne Beach – but it’s also irresistibly peaceful and private. Few properties in the area offer such a luxury: the iconic beach club and restaurant Le Club 55 is practically on your doorstep; a 15-minute drive delivers you directly to St. Tropez's seafront in the north and the hiking trails of Cap Taillat in the south.
