About Masseria Arete
The olive-coloured waters of the Adriatic almost seem to beckon from the ancient groves of Masseria Arete. This six-bedroom honeycomb-stone villa overlooks part of Puglia's 940km coastline in what is often known as the ‘boot heel’ of Italy.
While immersed in the heart of the countryside this traditional property is only a short drive to the nearest sandy beach.
With its curved ceilings and cool contemporary furnishings, the family friendly villa lies within a vast olive estate. The gnarled barks of these trees provide a spectacular vista from the terrace, pool and its spacious bedrooms. The décor of each room reflects the natural beauty beyond the window using a palette of damask rose, lavender and sea green.
A separate apartment complete with living room, fireplace, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom provides space for extended family or friends who may be accompanying you.
Inside the main building you will find five double rooms all with en suite bathrooms, Smart TV, and air conditioning or heating depending on the season. Open-plan living can be enjoyed from the kitchen as the dining room, complete with relaxed seating area, lies on the airy mezzanine level. An optional daily chef service can be arranged during your stay.
Outside, there is a walled swimming pool, shady pergolas and plenty of space for games. A pizza oven can be fired up for slices of margherita after a day exploring. The golden sands of Torre Canne beach, known for its hot springs and lighthouse, is only three kilometres away. Rental bikes are on offer to explore the area while an 18-hole golf course is a few minutes’ drive away
