About Casa Cortoreggio
Recently refurbished Casa Cortoreggio is minimal in design but impactful in its conscious approach to luxury. Rainwater is collected for the garden, solar panels heat and cool the house, and there are e-bikes to explore the surrounding area without carbon emissions. The owner also produces their own organic olive oil.
For a three-bed property, space is not in short supply thanks to whitewashed vaulted ceilings, all en-suite bedrooms, and large windowpanes. The light-flooded lounge flows into the industrial style kitchen which connects to the outdoor dining terrace – the perfect spot for a continental breakfast. Everything here is elevated, from the floating staircase, glass-walled en-suites and the platform master bed that defies gravity to the quality furniture and ambient lighting. There’s even an outside TV snug for movie nights under the stars.
The stunning infinity pool is wrapped by a wooden terrace and reflects the garden’s shrubs and olive trees. If you can pull yourself away from the sun loungers, the hilltop town of Cortona is a 10-minute away. If you happen to visit on Saturday, you’ll experience the lively local market that takes over its piazza where you can pick up all sorts of produce, from regional cheese and meat to books and antiques
