About Villa Monticello di Massa
Set in 10-acre grounds amidst vines, olive trees and verdant hills, Villa Monticello di Massa is peacefully placed halfway between Lucca and Florence, so it’s easy to get out and explore the best of Tuscany’s charming cities and rolling countryside. It’s also just a short drive from the hillside spa town of Montecatini Terme, known for its thermal waters and golf club.
This beautiful villa was renovated in 2021, bringing an elegant French-inspired look to its classic interior. The outdoor space is a highlight; pick your greens from the vegetable garden and enjoy the villa’s home-grown olive oil for the ultimate garden-to-table dinners, take a dip in the large pool or main Jacuzzi with a crisp glass of wine in hand, and follow local hiking trails deep into the countryside.
On the ground floor, the villa has a living room with a cosy fireplace alongside the hub of the home: a stylish open-plan kitchen/diner with high beamed ceilings and a large table for family dinners together. Five bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms are housed in the main house – there are two ground-floor doubles (one with its own outdoor Jacuzzi and one with garden access) and three doubles upstairs. A further double bedroom can be found on the upper storey of an annexe for guests wanting a little extra privacy.
