About Le Chateau des Cypres
A welcoming 18th-century villa in the heart of the Dordogne, Le Chateau des Cypres is one of those carefully preserved historic buildings that seem to only get better with age. Offering truly enviable panoramas from its upper floors, and wonderful grounds that families will love to explore, this is the perfect base from which to discover the region.
The interiors of the Chateau are tastefully furnished throughout, beginning on the ground floor with a fully equipped kitchen that opens onto the gardens, a living room with a wooden floor and a fireplace, and a dining room with seating for up to 19 people that’s ideal for entertaining.
Moving upstairs, it quickly becomes apparent why Le Chateau des Cypres is such a firm favourite with families. The first floor has four spacious double bedrooms and two single bed annex rooms, while the second floor has a family apartment with three bedrooms and a shared bathroom.
Outside, the chateau’s secluded grounds are something of a paradise. A patch of woods, a maze, a private tennis court and a large gated swimming pool will provide plenty of entertainment. Children will also adore the tame donkeys that wander freely around.
In the surrounding Perigord area there is a myriad of activities to fill your days, from castle or cave tours to biking, canoeing and even hot air balloon rides. For many guests, Le Chateau des Cypres becomes a real home away from home.
