About Il Balcone di Garibaldi
Il Balcone di Garibaldi is right in the heart of Naples, occupying the first floor of a neoclassical palazzo which holds an important place in Italian history; it was from its balcony that Giuseppe Garibaldi announced the annexation of the kingdom of Two Sicilies in 1860.
A huge space, the property offers six sumptuous bedrooms each with a bathroom of Carrera marble. There is a panoramic roof terrace, accessed by a lift, with city views complemented by sunbeds, lounge areas, barbecue, and kitchen.
It is in its living spaces that you can really appreciate the original intention behind the décor, to impress. Airy and bright, the rooms feature monumental chandeliers hung from soaring ceilings adorned with frescoes, the walls full of precious tapestries, and art and statues aplenty. The Galleria degli Specchi, (Mirror Hall) particularly is a glorious confection of a room offering a window to a golden age of balls and soirees; it’s still perfect for unforgettable occasions today.
As fancy as the apartment is, it is still full of comforts. Cosy furnishings, a cinema room, bar and a cook to whip up Neapolitan delights in the professional kitchen, to name a few.
